Closure
Our aim is to guarantee a good product to our customers and to avoid them drinking “cork-flavored” wines, something that statistically happens from 3 to 5% of the times.
For the Villa Vulcano line we chose both a synthetic closure of great quality, protecting from sun rays and dry air, elastic and easy to open, without any risk of breaking it, and a cork-based closure.
For the Icone line we only use a 40mm cork-based closure, very elastic and long-lasting.
For the Sense line, we have a 50 mm cork, of great quality, strictly tested, that keeps qualities of the wine during the years.
We use the traditional cork for our Sparkling wine.
Our Bottle
Glass is the best material to preserve wine, in fact due to its capacity is used also for pharmaceutical products.
The shape depends on tradition and necessities. We chose a classic 0,75 cl Bordeaux bottle, an international standard, from 440 gr to 750 gr depending on the different lines.
Normally the bottle is dark green, but for Catarà we use a transparent one, to exalt its brilliant shade.
Handy and elegant.
We strongly advise to store bottles in a cool place and to keep it protected from sun rays, in order to guarantee best quality and long preservation of the wine.
The capsule
And finally, to give a more elegant look to the bottle, the cork is covered with a capsule (or foil), sealing the bottle. Our capsules are plastic, colored to match the label.
