WINES & LABELS & MEDIA
"What should we call our wines?" A given name represents a being and will always be a part of its life and makes a person or a thing more or less pleasant.
The ICONE wines include, in some cases, the names of the grapes with which they have been produced and that would be familiar to consumers, e.g.: nero d’avola, merlot, syrah. In other cases we have given personalized names that evoke our Italian culture: dolcevita, solemio, Bravo.
Some features of being Italian:
Dolcevita (dolce vita, literally "the sweet life") is a way of life many foreigners recognize as being Italian; to see the beautiful and positive side of things and life; to surround oneself with beautiful things and to just enjoy life.
Solemio (sole mio - literally "my sun" as all artists know) refers to one of the two typical features of the Italian panorama the radiance of the day, the other being the blue sky.
Bravo (very good! wonderful!) more than an opinion, today is a spontaneous exclamation, well-known worldwide.
But with no doubt the most intriguing name is Sense. Sensual, evocative, international as well, it was given to praise complexity of this wine that involves all senses.
To our great delight, it turned out that solemio was also the name of one of the most well-known Italian song, famous the world over and with many different interpretations. Dolce vita is also a very famous Italian movie by Fellini. We would like to share with you some clips of this music and film:
