Our company produces wine in Sicily, one of Italy’s best wine-producing regions.
Today, wines no longer have to be expensive to be considered good quality or to possess high organoleptic characteristics. This is all possible in Sicily due to a vast range of vineyards (Sicily alone is the 10th largest wine producer in the world!), a marvellous climate, and an ancient winemaking tradition that dates back to more than 3,000 years ago.
Our knowledge of production allows us to make the best choice for a consumer who seeks a reasonable price but does not wish to renounce drinking good quality wine. For us, an excellent price-quality ratio is not merely an objective but our philosophy.
We truly believe that we have our own special, modern way of being Italian, one that has little to do with castles and fiefdoms, but much to do with quality and customer service.
The reality is that our enterprise comprises a diverse group of people with different skills and experience. People who are driven by a desire to combine professionalism with passion. From vineyard to cellar, from advertising to sales, Icone people are experienced professionals, predominantly women, who work with passion. Our wines are made with thought and feeling.
Wine was born in the depths of Asia and, whilst moving westward, first won Europe’s heart, then those of the Americas and Australia. It is now completing its tour by returning to East Asia.
Selling our wines around the world is not only a commercial challenge, but also a way of encountering and understanding other cultures and civilizations, other ways of life. It is one of the hidden pleasures of our work, one that goes beyond commercial success.
Along with our wine, we delight in bringing a culture of hospitality, for which the Sicilians are so famous, and we enjoy sharing our cuisine which is a concentration of our culture and history.
